What certification do you need?
Wrecks reward experience. Here is the honest picture of who can dive what - and if you are not there yet, we can get you there.
El Mina
Sitting at 25-30 m just 20 minutes from the harbor, El Mina is the classic first wreck. Open Water divers with some logged dives can enjoy the upper sections; a guide stays close.
Abu Nuhas & Thistlegorm
Depths to 28-32 m and open-sea conditions mean these trips need Advanced Open Water, or a deep adventure dive, plus recent diving experience. Certification cards are checked.
Going further
Want to learn lines, lights and safe wreck technique on real ships? The PADI Wreck Diver course runs over 2 days with 4 wreck dives at Abu Nuhas territory.
