Hurghada is one of the easiest places in the world to dive well. The reefs start minutes from the marina, the water is warm all year, and there is a site for every level, from calm 5-meter coral gardens to deep walls and famous wrecks. We are a network of local PADI professionals who dive these reefs every week, and this page is our honest introduction to diving here.
Warm water, clear water, all year
Most dive destinations have a season. Hurghada does not. The Red Sea here stays between 22 and 29 degrees, and visibility usually sits between 15 and 30 meters, in every month of the year.
22-29 C water
Warm enough for comfortable diving in every season. A 3-5 mm wetsuit covers the whole year.
15-30 m visibility
Clear blue water is the norm, not the exception. Great for photos and relaxed navigation.
Sites for every level
Shallow lagoons from 5 m for beginners, walls and wrecks to 40 m for advanced divers.
Short boat rides
Most reefs are 30-60 minutes from the marina, so you spend the day diving, not traveling.

A network of working divers, not a booking office
Scuba Diving Hurghada is a network of certified PADI instructors, guides and underwater photographers based here in Hurghada. Everyone in the network has at least 5 years in the field, and our senior members have 15 or more. We work exclusively with licensed dive centers and legal marine operators, and we plan your days personally: your level, your comfort, your goals.

Hurghada diving conditions by season
There is no bad month. Winter brings the clearest water, summer the warmest. Pack accordingly and the Red Sea does the rest.
